We use a student-centred approach to help learners connect with themselves and their reality. We aim to meet our students where they are, listen to their aspirations and facilitate their unique journey.
Any form of music and any level of skill are important to us, because all subjects and their unique realities are equally important.
Whether it is by creating and recording a song or a piece of music, preparing for a performance, refining their musicianship, studying for grades, supporting education and development, or simply looking to connect with others, we are dedicated to helping our students bring their ideas to life.
As a new creative organization, we bring our services directly to you. We operate on-site at schools, arts and community centres, as well as in our students' homes.
We collaborate closely with our clients to tailor our programs to their specific needs, all while maintaining our core creative values.

Who we are
Our team
Music Canvas was born with the idea to offer high-quality, meaningful music tutoring and mentoring to anyone who desires it, regardless of their circumstances. By creating accessible pathways and working with local authorities, we aim to make music truly inclusive.
Currently, Guillem is the director, the designated safeguarding lead, and main educator at Music Canvas, though the company also collaborates with associated specialist practitioners who contribute their unique expertise.
Guillem Michel
Guillem is a musician and music practitioner with a degree in Music Performance, Jazz and Commercial Music Composition, and an MA in Songwriting. With over twenty years of experience in the music industry and education, he maintains an active career as a performer, producer, and session musician.
Alongside his artistic work, Guillem is a dedicated educator and mentor. He has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as Bristol Beacon, West of England Music and Arts, and Evolve Music. His teaching experience is diverse, ranging from one-to-one and group instrumental lessons to planning and delivering specialized sessions for SEND and SEMH groups and leading Open Orchestras.
